What it does
The premise
A max-level (12) greatsword build built entirely around one interaction: wither is a resource you stack and then detonate, and every heavy strike detonates it. Talent points are spent almost exclusively on making the detonation bigger, making the wither last longer, and making the enemy easier to catch while it is on them.
The loop
- Close with Breakthrough Charge and start stacking wither.
- Any heavy strike (right mouse by default) executes the wither you have applied.
- With the execute talent, executing no longer consumes the wither — so the loop repeats instead of resetting.
- Each extension applies another link debuff, so the target gets progressively slower and takes more final damage.

Skill slots, and what is deliberately left out
- Breakthrough Charge01:00
Called a requirement to be competitive in PvP. It closes distance and starts building wither, so it comes first regardless of what else you run.
- Radiant Retribution01:30
Three wide slashes that can hit multiple enemies, and the last attack grants brief super armor — offence and a defensive window in one skill.
- Parry02:00
The recommended third slot when playing alone: it buys a reset when someone jumps you, and a successful riposte puts you straight back on the offensive.
- Thorn Guide02:00
The alternative third slot, favoured when deploying with a known group — it grabs enemies, pulls them out of position and sets up knockdowns for teammates.
- Withering Mark02:30
Explicitly not recommended for PvP. The creator’s reasoning is that the chaos of a real fight does not let it pay off.

First point. Unlocks the third skill slot, which is what makes room for Parry or Thorn Guide. The stated alternative is Endless Flow for skill cooldown speed, preferred in a coordinated trio where you need less survivability.

Execute with a greatsword no longer consumes wither — damage is slightly reduced, but wither’s duration is extended. This is the talent that converts the build from a one-shot burst into a repeating loop.
- Bad Karma05:00
Called the single most important talent for PvP. Wither applied by a greatsword also inflicts a link debuff, and each execute-extension adds another, up to three: reduced movement speed first, then increased final damage taken. If you feel sluggish fighting a Withered Knight, this is why. All link debuffs are removed when wither is removed.

Execution
The parts that are technique, not gear
Copying the talent tree gets you none of this. These are the patterns the creator demonstrates on camera.
Every heavy strike is an execute 03:00
The build only works if you internalise that the heavy strike — right mouse button on keyboard, the corresponding heavy attack on controller — is the detonator. All heavy strikes execute the wither you have applied. Players who treat wither as a passive damage-over-time never see the damage this build is built to produce.
Solo takes Parry, groups take Thorn Guide 02:30
The third skill slot is the one decision the creator changes by context rather than by preference: Parry when deploying alone, because nothing else resets a surprise engagement; Thorn Guide with a group you trust, because pulling someone out of position is only worth it if teammates capitalise.
