Mistfall Hunter Mercenary PvP Build (Skullcrusher Hammer)
Firebox’s 10 September Skullcrusher Mercenary: the Rock Throw stun into the one-shot combo, Warhammer Sling level 2 for the uncharged follow-up, and his published Blue and Purple gear codes.

Recorded a week after the 3 September pass, which improved Mercenary Perfect Block stagger — this build blocks to enable Shield Dash rather than to trade, so that line helps it without being the reason for it. The creator states outright that he has not settled whether this beats his own Hammer Spin build and asks the question of his viewers; that is carried into the tradeoffs rather than resolved here. No in-game retest by this site.

Choose a replaceable kit
- Blue00:45
A Blue import code is published in the video description and captured above. The spoken affix walkthrough covers the kit he is wearing rather than a separate blue table, so inspect the import before buying anything against it.
- Purple00:45
The kit he explains on camera: Stoic, Valor, Resilience, Ethereal, Elusive, Smiting and Curse. Curse is the load-bearing one and is not in the catalogue as a general affix, so the planner cannot preselect it — it is what carries the stun duration against players, and the build is a stun combo. Two of the others he offers to swap himself: Smiting for Vitality if you use sword and shield less than he does, and Ethereal for Vitality outside Brandrgarde.
What it does
The premise
A one-shot hammer combo built on Skullcrusher rather than on Hammer Spin, with Rock Throw as the opener. The creator’s framing is that Skullcrusher has taken the place of the spin in his kit and may be the better of the two — he says more testing is required, and the build page keeps that hedge because he did not remove it.
Loadout codes
Published by the creator in their own video description. Paste one in to load the whole setup at once.

- Purple

A description can be edited long after the video is not. If one of these no longer imports, the date above is how stale it is — the code is reproduced as published, not reconstructed.
The loop
- Block with Shield Dash to absorb the opening, which is what Rising to the Challenge is taken for (02:00).
- Stun, then Rock Throw them while they are held — the sequence he names as the reason the talent is in the list (02:00).
- Use Warhammer Sling into the slowed target. Level 2 attacks without charging even though the tooltip does not say so, which is what makes the sling comboable against a player (02:30).
- Land Skullcrusher; Skull Crushing Echo returns part of its cooldown on a successful hit, so the loop can come round again (03:00).
- Dynamic Charge lets you dodge out of the Skullcrusher charge, which he uses to bait dodges out of a slowed opponent rather than to escape (02:30).
Skills
Skill slots, and what is deliberately left out
The block and the gap closer in one. Taken with Rising to the Challenge so blocking with it opens the Rock Throw window.
- Whirling Cut?01:53
Paired with Fearless for the dash attack, which he calls the Mercenary’s best mobility option. No verified catalogue record for this name.
- Skull Crusher?01:53
The build’s namesake, in the slot his older setup gave to Hammer Spin. He rates the two as close and does not claim a winner.
Levels 1 and 2 both taken. Level 2 attacks without a charge — undocumented in the tooltip, and the reason the sling can be comboed against another player.
Talents
Talents in the creator's stated priority order
Listed in the order they recommend spending points, not in tree order — the first entries are the ones that change how the build functions rather than how hard it hits.
Lets you block with Shield Dash, and is what makes the stun-then-Rock-Throw sequence available.
- Fearless?02:00
Enables the dash attack on Whirling Cut. Named as the best mobility option the class has.
Taken alongside Unstoppable for the super-armour clash that stuns other players.
- Unstoppable?02:30
The super-armour half of the clash. The Mercenary talent of this name has no verified catalogue record; the Shadowstrix one is a different talent and is not linked here.
- Dynamic Charge?02:30
The Skullcrusher enhancement that allows a dodge out of the charge. He uses it to waste a slowed opponent’s dodges rather than to disengage.
- Skull Crushing Echo?03:00
Reduces Skullcrusher’s cooldown when an attack lands, which is what lets the combo repeat.
Affixes
Affixes to chase
- Curse00:45
Required, in his words, for the stun duration against enemy players. The whole build is a stun combo, so this is the one that is not optional.
Named against the matchups that stun back — other hammer Mercenaries, daggers, Shadowstrix.
Execution
The parts that are technique, not gear
Copying the talent tree gets you none of this. These are the patterns the creator demonstrates on camera.
The sling level that is not in the tooltip 02:30
Warhammer Sling level 2 attacks faster without charging, and the skill description does not say so. He states it flatly at 02:30 and says you need it for the purpose of comboing the sling against other players — a charged sling is readable and dodgeable, an uncharged one at level 2 is not. This is an observation from one creator’s play, not a published number.
Dodging out of your own charge is an offensive tool here 02:30
Dynamic Charge exists so Skullcrusher can be cancelled into a dodge. He does not use it to escape: the target is already slowed by Rock Throw, so the cancel bait spends their dodges while they cannot reposition, and the real Skullcrusher lands after they are out.
Honest limits
What this build is bad at
A build page without this section is an advertisement.
- The creator has not decided whether this beats his own Hammer Spin build and says more testing is required. Two builds from one author, one question open — that is the state of it, not a recommendation.
- Curse is not optional and is not a cheap affix to reach. Without the stun duration the combo stops being a combo.
- Ethereal is in the shown kit specifically for Brandrgarde; carrying it into Hallowgrove Chaos is spending a slot on nothing.
- This is a PvP build shown in PvP footage. Nothing in the video establishes it against bosses or in a farm loop.
- The talent and skill names come from machine captions and half of them have no catalogue record, so the planner preselects only part of this setup. Use the published import codes for the actual allocation.

Start with the verified catalogue picks from Firebox’s setup. The shared URL keeps the source and deployment context as you edit. It is a loadout sketch, not an in-game import code or a validated talent tree.
10 of 17 listed picks have catalogue records. Only that tier’s linked affix goals preselect; unverified picks stay in the guide. Changing rarity does not calculate a price or guarantee a legal in-game allocation.
