Evidence-graded Harpy observations plus three different Woodlings most guides merge into one: what is confirmed, what is community-only, and what is still missing.
One Woodling is not three, and the map decides which one you can possibly be looking at.
Returner Woodlings appear on Brandrgarde only — 791 datamined spawn points, none of them on Hallowgrove. On Hallowgrove the Returning Chime summons a Hallowgrove Woodling, a sibling creature. Smuggler Woodlings turn up on a timer on either map and let you leave without a kill. Guides that send you hunting a Returner on Hallowgrove are describing the other map.
Which Woodling is that?
Three different creatures run extraction and most guides treat them as one. Say where you are and what you can see; this names the one in front of you and what it wants from you.
Which map are you on?
What can you see?
Returner Woodling
The pulsing blue aura visible through terrain is the Returner. Its datamined profile is 327–407 HP with a guaranteed Soul of Return in every mode, so the creature is not the problem.
Do thisKill it and take the bell — it can drop more than one. Once a bell is in its slot you can leave whenever you want. The fight is trivial; the contest is the squads who heard it too.
Identified — act on it
Nothing spotted yet
This cannot happen here
Built from the in-game codex text as transcribed in MistfallDB's Returner Woodling profile, plus the launch-week extraction guides. The map split is codex text, not our inference: the Returner's 791 datamined spawn points are all on Brandrgarde. Nothing here claims a moveset, because none of the three has one published.
The ledger
Every creature with a published source — all 9
Ordered by how much is actually known. Each row carries what is established and what is missing, and “missing” is the bar a future source has to clear rather than a general disclaimer.
Map unconfirmedPublished mechanics — enough to act on mid-run
A mobile avian enemy that can turn a player fight into a three-sided encounter; community footage confirms the model, while its stats and taxonomy remain unpublished.
Enemy type
Ground-moving humanoid avian mob — visible in two community captures
Published attack
Raised-leg kick, community-corroborated; no official move name
Possible variant

Harpy boss
Claimed once; no named or filmed encounter attached
EstablishedTwo independent community posts show the same humanoid avian enemy: a gold-masked figure with winged forearms and clawed feet moving on the ground. Multiple players identify a raised-leg kick, and players specifically warn that Harpies are difficult to kite around during PvP. A separate account describes a spell-casting “harpy wizard” placing an AoE into an ongoing fight; that variant and move remain a single unverified report.
MissingHealth, damage, stagger, exact spawn locations, loot, an official variant list and the name of every attack. One commenter also says a Harpy boss exists, but no official name, encounter footage or health bar is attached; that is not enough to add a boss page.
BrandrgardePublished mechanics — enough to act on mid-run
Carries the extraction bell. On Brandrgarde it is the only reliable way off the map.
Map
Brandrgarde only — 791 spawn points, none on Hallowgrove
Health
327–407, datamined
Guaranteed drop
Soul of Return, in every mode
Moveset
None published
EstablishedPer the in-game codex it appears only on Brandrgarde, "randomly in areas without Gyldenmist" — 791 datamined spawn points, not one of them on Hallowgrove. Its datamined profile is 327–407 HP with a guaranteed Soul of Return drop in every mode, so the fight is trivial by design. Killing one guarantees a bell and can drop more than one. Once a bell is in its dedicated slot you can leave whenever you want.
MissingAny named attack. The datamined records that carry its health and drops carry no moveset, and no guide describes a telegraph — which is consistent with a creature built as an objective rather than a fight. A published attack list, or a creator video that treats it as a fight, is what a moveset section would need.

Your completed channel rings audibly
EstablishedOn Hallowgrove the Returning Chime activates after a period and summons a Hallowgrove Woodling. The chime is already standing when you land, so an exit exists from the first minute: interacting with one sends a burst of butterflies to a nearby location and starts a short timer, the Woodling spawns there and attacks, and you kill it, interact with the corpse and channel the return spell. The completed channel rings a bell every nearby player can hear.
MissingIts own health and drop table. Every datamined figure circulating for "the Woodling" belongs to the Returner profile, and nothing published separates the two numerically — only the codex separates them by name and map.
Smuggler Woodling
Both mapsDescribed by a source, but nothing actionable
An exit that does not require a kill.
Kill required
No — interact to leave
Appears
On a timer; the interval is not published
EstablishedSmuggler Woodlings appear on a timer and let you leave by interacting — no kill required. That is the whole of what the codex separates them by, and it is the reason a run that "could not find a Woodling" sometimes had an exit standing in front of it.
MissingThe timer. Nothing published says how long after the drop they appear, whether the interval differs by map or mode, or whether more than one can be up at once.
Merchant Woodling
Both mapsDescribed by a source, but nothing actionable
Extracts specific items for Gyldenblod, without extracting you.
Takes
Gyldenblod
Extracts
Specific items — the list is not published
Named trader
Richie, around Abandoned Market and Refugee Camp
EstablishedMerchant Woodlings on the map will extract specific items in exchange for Gyldenblod — a way to bank one thing worth keeping without ending the run. The Woodling trader Richie spawns around the Abandoned Market and Refugee Camp on the five-stop farming route.
MissingWhich items qualify, and what they cost. No published source lists either, and the trader’s inventory is the part a player actually needs before deciding to walk there.
Soulgnawer
Ritual matchesDescribed by a source, but nothing actionable
The elite that spawns against an active Soul Harvest ritual, and has to die for it to complete.
Appears in

Yes — the ritual will not complete otherwise
Moveset
None published — described in silhouette only
Spelling
Soulgnawer is official; Soulnau, Soul Nar and Soul Nhar circulate
EstablishedDevNote #7 describes a brand-new elite that spawns against an active ritual: slender build, serpentine lower body, human-like facial features. She actively disrupts the ritual, and the ritual does not complete until she is dead — a forced, stationary, loud fight in the middle of a PvPvE map. The same note tells players to watch for rival Gyldhunters and third-party ambushes while the ritual runs. Official concept art exists; four spellings circulate, of which Soulgnawer is Bellring’s.
MissingEvery attack. The publisher described a silhouette and published a concept sheet, and nobody has filmed the fight in a form that names a single move. A creator video or a datamined moveset is what a tells section would need.
Frenzied Wizard
Map unconfirmedDescribed by a source, but nothing actionable

Not published by any source this site can trace
EstablishedDevNote #1 names it directly, in a section about monsters interrupting player fights: "Some of the more dangerous Corroded, such as the Frenzied Wizard, now cast certain skills less frequently, reducing the chances of unexpected and overwhelming attacks." Three things follow from that sentence and nothing else does. It casts; it was dangerous enough to be the example chosen; and it belongs to the Corroded, which is the word this site already uses for the map’s hostile population without ever having been able to name one of them. The same passage adds that monsters now interfere less while players are in PvP, and that off-screen enemies telegraph an incoming attack — behaviour that applies to this mob along with the rest.
MissingEverything a page is made of, plus one thing the other rows here do not have to worry about: whether the sentence still describes the live game. DevNote #1 is from July 2025 and is written about a playtest build more than a year before launch, so the cast-frequency change it announces has had four betas and a launch to be re-tuned in. Health, damage, which map, what it casts and what it drops are all unpublished. A patch note, a codex screenshot or a creator video naming the enemy would move this to a page.
RE-CHECKED 2026-09-06 against the live French SERP, and the answer is still no — which is worth recording because it looks like a yes. QuestLog publishes a full stat block for “Sorcier sinoque” (type Élite, attack 213, defence 705, max health 979, Combat Value 2000, parry damage reduction +50%, chase speed 375) and Google prints those figures in an AI Overview above every result. That is the first source anywhere to put numbers on this enemy. It is also a third-party community database, which is none of the three evidence types named above, and it is the same class of source `items.ts` declines by name for the Celestigold drop table. Nothing here uses the figures. What the check did change: the French demand is real and growing — `sinoque` is 160 impressions at ZERO clicks over 2026-08-07..09-03, up from 4 two weeks earlier — and it is now carried as a freeze in scripts/frozen-watch.ts so the next reader finds the SERP rather than re-deriving it. Reverse the freeze by reaching `documented`, not the other way round.
Golden Woodling
UnreleasedOne sentence exists anywhere
Announced for Season 1 Phase III. Not in the live build.
Status
Announced for Phase III, undated
Published record
One sentence on one image
EstablishedOne sentence, from the Season 1 roadmap graphic: “A rare Woodling disguised as precious treasure; its golden radiance is as mysterious as it is deadly.” A Golden Woodling head also exists as a Gylden Rush cosmetic, which is a different thing from the creature.
MissingEverything a page is made of — health, spawn rule, loot, and a release date. Phase III is announced and undated.
Fern the Woodling
UnreleasedOne sentence exists anywhere
Announced as the payer for the Phase II Underlord challenge.
Status
Announced for Phase II
Published record
One line on one image, nowhere else
EstablishedOne line, from the Phase II panel of the same roadmap image: “Swiftly slay the Underlords to earn bonus rewards from Fern the Woodling.” Searched across Bellring’s full announcement history on 7 August, the strings “Underlord” and “Fern” appear in no Steam announcement body, no DevNote and no dev update.
MissingWhether Fern is a creature you fight, an NPC you hand something to, or a name on a reward screen. The one published line does not say, and guessing would be inventing.

Where each class of claim comes from
The health numbers on this page are datamined and are labelled as such everywhere they appear. Nothing here is a measurement of ours.
OfficialThe Soulgnawer spawns against an active Soul Harvest ritual and the ritual does not complete until she is dead.
Bellring Games, DevNote #7 (24 July 2026), which also published her concept sheet. The description is of a silhouette; no attack is named.
OfficialThe Golden Woodling and Fern the Woodling exist, and one sentence each is the whole record.
The Season 1 roadmap graphic, Wave 3 (5 August 2026). Searched across Bellring’s full announcement history on 7 August: neither name appears in any announcement body, DevNote or dev update.
OfficialThe Frenzied Wizard is a Corroded, it casts, and Bellring considered it one of the more dangerous ones.
Bellring Games, DevNote #1 (17 July 2025) — the only sentence in the publisher’s entire announcement history that names a member of the Corroded. It describes a pre-launch playtest build, so the cast-frequency change it announces has had four betas and a launch to be re-tuned in; the enemy’s existence is official, its current behaviour is not.
CorroboratedThe codex separates Returner, Hallowgrove and Smuggler Woodlings, and the Returner is Brandrgarde-only.
In-game codex text as transcribed in MistfallDB’s Returner Woodling profile, and consistent with the launch-week extraction guides describing chimes on one map and random spawns on the other.
Unverified327–407 HP, a guaranteed Soul of Return, and 791 Brandrgarde spawn points.
MistfallDB, datamined. Nobody has confirmed these against the live build, including us — they are quoted because the source is specific about where they came from, not because they have been checked.
InferredThe Returner Woodling is built as an objective rather than a fight.
Ours: a creature with a three-figure health pool, a guaranteed drop and no published attack, whose kill announces itself to the map, is shaped like a timer rather than an encounter. No source says this.
Creature FAQ
No. Per the in-game codex it appears only on Brandrgarde, in areas without Gyldenmist, and its datamined profile lists 791 spawn points with none on Hallowgrove. On Hallowgrove the Returning Chime summons a Hallowgrove Woodling — a distinct sibling creature. Guides conflating the two are checkably wrong against the game’s own text.
