Mistfall Hunter Bloodbound Cipher: Who Gets It

Reported to be Dramm the blacksmith's, beside the Nameless Cipher. His words are the forge — Fire, Anvil, Furnace — and the word on your copy decides.

Short answer

The one source that pairs named ciphers to NPCs puts the Bloodbound Cipher with Dramm, the blacksmith, alongside the Nameless Cipher. His vocabulary is the tightest of the seven and the easiest to recognise on sight: Fire, Ashes, Brimstone, Smoke, Anvil, Furnace. If your copy carries a forge word, report and rule agree and Dramm is the answer. If it carries anything else, the word wins — that rule is the official one.

How you get it
From the loot table during a run — locked chests, purple-marked enemies and unidentified items. No launch-mail copy of this cipher has been announced.

Grading the claims on this page

A grade describes sourcing, not truth. An unverified row is not one we think is wrong — it is one nobody has stood behind.

  • OfficialEvery cipher has one NPC who "truly knows how to decipher its secrets" and pays a bonus for it.

Bellring Games, Golden Cipher event page, read 2026-08-07. A general rule, not a quirk of one cipher.

  • UnverifiedThe Bloodbound Cipher pays its bonus with Dramm, alongside the Nameless Cipher.

Desorden (2026-08-09) prints both on the card headed Dramm. One creator compiling community reports, flagged as unconfirmed by the creator himself.

  • CorroboratedLevel 5 gates the Decipher option, all seven camp NPCs offer it, and the cipher is consumed on use.

    allthings.how (2026-08-02) and NerdsChalk (2026-08-03), independently.

  • UnverifiedEvery reward percentage circulating for this item.

No table has been published for it. The four-decimal figures in circulation are the Golden Cipher's, from the Gylden Rush event page.

§01

The reported pairing, and exactly how much it weighs

A Spanish-language creator guide from 9 August — the only source anywhere that assigns named ciphers to NPCs — prints two ciphers on Dramm's card: Bloodbound and Nameless. The creator flags his own compilation as not fully confirmed, so the pairing is graded reported rather than established. It has one thing going for it beyond the source: Dramm's six-word forge vocabulary is the most recognisable of the seven, so checking whether your copy agrees takes seconds.

  • Dramm is the blacksmith, and his desk is the forge: Fire, Ashes, Brimstone, Smoke, Anvil and Furnace.
  • The Nameless Cipher is reported to be his as well.
  • A wrong delivery is not a wasted cipher — the base payout arrives, the bonus does not.
§02

The word on your copy outranks everything on this page

The rule is Bellring's, published on their own event page: each cipher has one NPC who truly knows it, matched on the word clues the item carries. The cipher's name does not choose the NPC — the word does, which is why two Bloodbound Ciphers can belong on two different desks. Deciphering is one-shot and the item is consumed on accept, so read the word before you spend it.

  • The decoder takes both words in any order; the hub prints all 41 words in one open table.
  • Decipher unlocks at level 5 and every one of the seven camp NPCs offers it.
§03

No reward table exists for it

No odds have been published for the Bloodbound Cipher. The four-decimal table quoted around cipher content is the Golden Cipher's, from the Gylden Rush event page. For a correct match, press sources describe the bonus only as an item with a high chance of Epic rarity — that is the entire published picture.

§04

Where they come from, and keeping yours

Ciphers are ordinary loot: locked chests, marked enemies, unidentified items. That makes any single copy replaceable, and it makes the safe pouch the real decision — a cipher in your ordinary bag is inherited by whoever kills you.

  • Locked chests, which are the most reliable placed source.
  • Marked enemies — the ones carrying a purple brand — and the containers they guard.
  • Unidentified items: every one of them has a chance to resolve into a cipher.

Bloodbound Cipher FAQ

Read the word on your copy first. One creator guide reports the Bloodbound Cipher as Dramm's — the blacksmith, whose words are Fire, Ashes, Brimstone, Smoke, Anvil and Furnace. A forge word on your copy means the report and the official word rule agree.
