Mistfall Hunter Underlord Speed Challenge

The Underlord Speed Challenge has one published sentence. That sentence, the six things it does not say, and why the circulating reward list is invented.

This is the thinnest subject on the roadmap, and the page says so rather than padding. The complete published record is one line; everything else here is either labelled as player-reported or drawn as a gap.

One published sentence, and six blanks around it

Everything Bellring has said about the Underlord Speed Challenge fits on one line. The rest of this page is the shape of what is missing — drawn, rather than guessed.

Swiftly slay the Underlords to earn bonus rewards from Fern the Woodling.

Season 1 roadmap graphic, Phase II panel — 5 August 2026

What that sentence does not say

  • How fast is “swiftly”?

    No timer published

  • What are the bonus rewards?

    No reward table published

  • Which Underlords count?

    No list published

  • Which maps and difficulties?

    Not stated

  • Once, or repeatable?

    Not stated

  • Who is Fern the Woodling?

    Named here and nowhere else

Numbers are circulating for this. None of them are Bellring’s.

At least one widely-syndicated write-up lists Gyldenblod and rare equipment as this challenge’s rewards. That list is not in the roadmap graphic, in any Steam announcement, in any DevNote or in any dev update — searched across the full announcement history on 7 August, where “Underlord” and “Fern” appear nowhere outside the single roadmap line. A page handing you a drop table for an event with no published drop table is the tell.

  • The published record
  • Reserved slot
  • Circulating, unsourced

The quotation is the complete published record, transcribed from the Phase II panel of the roadmap graphic on /roadmap/. The six slots below it are not rhetorical: each is a row this page fills from the Phase II patch notes, which is why they are drawn rather than omitted.

The complete published record

From the Phase II panel of the Season 1 roadmap graphic, 5 August: “Swiftly slay the Underlords to earn bonus rewards from Fern the Woodling.” That is the entire official record. Searched across Bellring’s full announcement history on 7 August, the strings “Underlord” and “Fern” appear in no Steam announcement body, no DevNote and no dev update — their whole published existence is that one line on an image.

  • No timer, no threshold and no definition of “swiftly”.
  • No reward table, and no named reward.
  • No map, difficulty or repeatability rule.
§02

What Underlords are, and how confident that is

The game itself describes them — lowercase, plural, and as a map mechanic rather than a named boss. The in-game codex entry "Underlord Challenge" reads: "Red zones on the map indicate territories of powerful underlords. When fighting them, a barrier will temporarily form around the area to block other Gyldhunters" — filed alongside Resource Zone and Treasure Chamber, not alongside the Mist Lords. That is the strongest description that exists. The community goes further, placing them as a mid-tier boss class of Corroded guardians fought as a timed encounter — and every part of that extension is player-reported: no bestiary entry, moveset, health value or drop table exists for any Underlord in the datamined records that cover every other boss and elite.

  • The codex quote reaches this page via MistfallDB's verbatim codex reproduction; "Underlord" appears in no Steam announcement body, checked across the full history.
  • The "timed challenge with a bonus chest" detail circulating in guides is not in the codex text and traces to nothing primary — it stays player-reported here.
  • Mist Lords are the tier this site does document, with a full moveset page for Sálmar and per-page sourcing notes for Otto and General Harald.
  • A speed challenge against zone guardians is a farming-route event rather than a raid — and also the Phase II entry most likely to be quietly reworked, because almost nothing about it has been committed to in text.
§03

Why this page has no reward table

Because there is not one. At least one widely-syndicated write-up lists Gyldenblod and rare equipment as this challenge’s rewards, and that list appears in no Bellring channel — not the roadmap graphic, not any Steam announcement, not any DevNote or dev update. It is a plausible guess presented as reporting, and plausible is exactly what makes it spread.

  • Gyldenblod is the game’s currency, so guessing it as a reward is close to guaranteed to look right. That does not make it published.
  • The general rule holds beyond this event: a page handing you a drop table for an event with no published drop table has told you something about itself.
  • When the Phase II patch notes land, the six unpublished slots on this page take values and the page keeps its shape.
§04

What is worth doing before Phase II

Nothing specific to this challenge, and saying so is more useful than inventing preparation. Phase II is a September update with no day, and the challenge has no published entry requirement to prepare against. The honest preparation is the preparation that pays regardless.

  • Boss damage is the only skill this event can plausibly reward, and it is testable now in the training grounds against the same movesets.
  • Season Tasks and Soul Harvest both land in next week’s client update, weeks before this one. They are where preparation time actually converts.
  • Watch the Phase II patch notes rather than any page that already claims to know the timer.

Mistfall Hunter Underlord Speed Challenge FAQ

A Season 1 Phase II event announced in the 5 August roadmap graphic with a single line: “Swiftly slay the Underlords to earn bonus rewards from Fern the Woodling.” Nothing further has been published in any Bellring channel.
