Mistfall Hunter Mage, Assassin, Healer

There is no Mage, Assassin or Healer class. Here is which of the six classes each of those words actually means, and where the guess stops being accurate.

What you called it, what the game calls it

Six classes, none of them named Mage, Assassin or Healer. Pick the word you searched for.

You searched “Mage” · also wizard, caster, magier

Sorcerer

Ranged damage · Elemental magic / Stardust magic

A clean match. The Sorcerer is the game’s only dedicated spellcaster and the highest area damage in the roster — everything the word "mage" implies is here. The one thing that does not carry over is durability: it holds the lowest health pool in the game, so it plays at a range a typical RPG mage does not have to respect.

Which half you mean: Elemental magic is the one most "mage build" videos are demonstrating; Stardust is the other half of the class and a different playstyle.

  • Clean match
  • Carries a wrong expectation

Class names, archetypes and stances are read off this site’s own class records, which are built from launch coverage. The “where the guess misleads” note on each card is editorial: it is our reading of the distance between the imported word and the class, not a claim any source makes.

§01

The short version

Mistfall Hunter has six classes and none of them are called Mage, Assassin or Healer. Every one of those words does map onto a real class, though, and the translator above does it in one tap. The mapping is not always clean — two of the six carry an expectation the class does not deliver, and those are the two worth reading past the table for.

§02

The two that will mislead you

Four of these translations are exact. Two are not, and picking on the strength of the imported word is how people end up thirty hours into a class they did not want.

  • Healer → Seer. The Seer is the support class and close to mandatory in a trio, but it is not a dedicated healer: one of its two stances, Mace (Blasphemer), is a melee damage kit. Choosing Seer expecting to only heal means playing half the class.
  • Tank → Mercenary. It is the safest first pick in the game, but "tank" in the aggro-holding sense does not exist here — nothing in an extraction run generates threat, so a Mercenary is hard to kill rather than able to protect anyone.
§03

The German search everyone gets wrong

Searches for a "Blasphemiker build" are not looking for a seventh class. Blasphemer is the Seer’s mace stance, and the German-language guides use the German spelling — so the answer to that search is the Seer page, filtered to one stance.

Mistfall Hunter Mage, Assassin, Healer FAQ

Not by that name. The Sorcerer is the game’s spellcaster and the closest match to what "mage" usually means — highest area damage in the roster, and the lowest health pool in the game as the trade.
