Current status: there is a CDKEY screen, and one code has used it
Mistfall Hunter has a CDKEY Redemption screen, reached from the system menu once you are loaded in to camp rather than from the title screen. The developers gave out MFH813 on their Devtalk stream on 12 August 2026; players screenshotted both the redemption panel and the confirmation mail. This page held the opposite position — that no code system existed — until 19 August, which was correct when written and wrong for a week after the client proved otherwise. It still publishes no code it has not seen redeemed.
Where the redemption screen is on each platform
Console players are the ones who cannot find it: the top question under the Devtalk thread was from an Xbox player holding a code with nowhere to type it. PC opens the system menu with Esc. Xbox needs the Start button held rather than tapped, which is the step people get stuck on. PlayStation reaches the same panel with Options — that one is inference from the pad layout rather than a route a player has posted, and is marked as such on the page.
The code source that refills itself
The official Discord runs a Dew's Blessing event in its Events Hub channel that issues a fresh redeemable code every 24 hours; players report combat bags, gyldenblod and materials from it. A single code expires and a code list goes stale, so the renewing source is the part of this page worth keeping. Dew is also one of the in-game decipher NPCs, which is where our cipher pages pick the thread up.
Rewards that were actually given out
What has happened instead is direct grants through official channels, which is worth knowing so you can check whether you are owed something.
- Launch gift: a Thumbs Up gesture and 500 Soul Coins, distributed after the game passed 100,000 players in its first eight hours.
- Second wave launch reward: Pip's Rare Pouch Voucher (3 Days) ×1, Soul Coin ×500, Ashen Cipher ×1 and Abyssal Cipher ×1, from in-game mail on a claim window that closed 2026-09-01 00:00 UTC+0. Unclaimed mail expired with it.
- Third wave launch reward: Standing Pose: Spellcasting, Moonlight Nectar ×5, Pro Combat Bag ×1 and Advanced Combat Bag ×1, from in-game mail, on a claim window that closed 2026-08-12 12:00 UTC+0.
- One-month anniversary mail: three consecutive 08:00 UTC+0 grants — on 3 September Pip's Rare Pouch Voucher (3 Days) ×1 and Pro Combat Bag ×1, on 4 September Rare Repair Kit (7 Days) ×1 and Pro Combat Bag ×1, and on 5 September Premium Legendary Material Selection Chest ×1 plus Elite Combat Bag ×1. Bellring said accounts had to reach Lv.5 before 2026-09-13 16:00 UTC+0 to claim them from in-game mail; that eligibility window is now closed.
- Weekend Combat Supplies: from the weekend of 11 September until the end of Season 1, Bellring says each server sends one Pro Combat Bag at 00:00 Friday, one Pro Combat Bag at 00:00 Saturday and one Elite Combat Bag at 00:00 Sunday. Each mail is claimable for 24 hours and follows the server clock: International UTC+0, Oceania UTC+10, North America UTC-8.
- Playtest participants were promised a "No, it’s a bug!" emote at launch.
- Weekend test event rewards were distributed by in-game mail.
- Pip's Auction House grants a free item daily as a welcoming gift — an in-game reward rather than a code.
What we monitor
Official Steam news, developer notes, the Discord Events Hub, in-game mail announcements and creator campaigns. A code is added here only once it has been seen redeemed, with its source and date. The Steam feed has never mentioned the CDKEY system at all, which is why a player thread is the strongest source on this page.
Avoid code generators
Third-party code generators and download prompts for this game are not legitimate, and the existence of one real code makes them more convincing rather than less. Real codes come from the developers directly — a stream, or the Discord Events Hub — and are redeemed inside the game. Nothing legitimate asks for your account details on a website.
