Mistfall Hunter Release Date and Time
Mistfall Hunter released 30 July 2026 at 01:00 UTC — which is why Steam says 29 July. The launch timeline, the time where you are, and what is dated next.
It is out
30 July 2026
01:00 UTC, on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at once. Steam’s store page says 29 July and it is not contradicting anyone — launch crossed midnight UTC, so the date you see depends on which side of it you were standing.
- Platforms
- All three, simultaneously. No staggered console window.
- Next dated content
- Soul Harvest, week of 14 August — 01days17hrs17min
- Playtest
- Ended 22 June and was wiped. Nothing carried over.
These times, where you are
Steam's store page says 29 July and the official launch FAQ says 30 July. Neither is wrong — the launch crossed midnight UTC, so the date depends on where you were standing. Here are the published instants in your own timezone.
- LaunchUTC · 30 Jul 2026, 01:00 UTCServers opened on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S together. This is the instant both "29 July" and "30 July" are describing.
- Next dated content — Soul HarvestUTC · 14 Aug 2026, 00:00 UTCThe Season 1 Phase I client update. Bellring dated it to the week of 14 August in the 7 August server notice; no hour was published, so this is the date at 00:00 UTC rather than a stated start time.

The timeline
From playtest to now
Dated beats only. The reason this matters beyond trivia is the 22 June wipe: it is the line that separates guides describing this game from guides describing the one before it.
26 September 2025
The 2025 closed test ends, data wiped
The earlier of the game’s two test teardowns, and the origin of most of the "this game wipes your progress" folklore that predates launch. Both wipes were tests being dismantled, not live seasons resetting.
15 June 2026
June playtest covered on Xbox Wire
Free and open, and the build most surviving pre-launch footage was captured on — which is why a search for gameplay can still surface a game that looks free. Bellring did not publish an opening date this site could cite, so the article date stands in for it.
22 June 2026, 10:00 UTC
Playtest servers shut down, all data wiped
Nothing earned in the playtest carried into the launch build five weeks later. This is the line that separates guides describing this game from guides describing the one before it.
30 July 2026, 01:00 UTC
Launch on all three platforms
Simultaneous on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with cross-platform matchmaking live from the start. The launch update shipped inside the client rather than as a separate patch.
30 July 2026
100,000 players within eight hours
Bellring’s own figure, published in the launch-day update alongside a stability patch and the first Known Issues list.
1 August 2026
500,000 players across all platforms
Announced with the Second Wave of Launch Rewards. It is a total-players figure, not a concurrent one — the two get quoted interchangeably and they are not the same number.
6 August 2026
First content update
The Einherjar Mist Lord challenge opened with a client update, and the Season 1 roadmap followed on 5 August.
Week of 14 August 2026
Soul Harvest and Season Tasks
The next dated beat, from the 7 August server notice. Everything after it on the roadmap is named without a date.
Evidence
Where the dates come from
Release dates are the most-copied and least-sourced numbers in games coverage, so each one here names the announcement it was read out of.
- OfficialLaunch was 30 July 2026 at 01:00 UTC on all three platforms.
The official launch FAQ, which dates the introductory discount window from 30 July 2026 at 01:00 UTC, and the Skystone Games launch press release of the same day.
- OfficialThe Steam store page displays the release date as 29 July 2026.
Valve, store appdetails for app 3282300, read alongside the price sample on this site. Steam renders store dates in the viewer’s timezone.
- InferredThe two dates are the same instant, not a discrepancy.
Ours, and it is arithmetic rather than judgement: 01:00 UTC on 30 July is 18:00 on 29 July in Pacific time. No source needed to be reconciled — the sources agree and the timezones do not.
- OfficialSoul Harvest and Season Tasks arrive with the client update in the week of 14 August 2026.
The 7 August Server Online Update Notice. It names the week, not an hour, so no start time is quoted here.
- OfficialBrandrgarde Solo Mode, on Normal and Cataclysm, is committed to the middle of Season 1 in September.
The Roadmap and Launch Rewards: Wave 3 announcement of 5 August 2026, which also states the caveat quoted above about splitting the matchmaking queue. A month, not a date — it is recorded here as a commitment rather than a schedule.
- Official100,000 players within eight hours; 500,000 across all platforms by 1 August; 1,000,000 by 5 August.
Bellring Games — the launch-day update, the Second Wave of Launch Rewards announcement, and the Wave 3 announcement of 5 August. All three are total-player figures, not concurrents.
- OfficialThe June 2026 playtest ended on 22 June at 10:00 UTC with all data wiped, and a closed test ended 26 September 2025 the same way.
The Playtest Conclusion Notice of 22 June 2026 and the End of Test Announcement of 23 September 2025, both on the Steam news feed. No opening date for the June playtest was published, so none is quoted.
What is next
The dates that have not been given
Season 1 has four phases and one of them has a date. That ratio is worth stating plainly, because roadmap coverage tends to convert a named thing into a scheduled thing.
Phase I is dated to the week of 14 August. Phase II is described as September. Phase III and the Season 2 material are named — a bell-hung ferry, a hollow in the roots, javelins and a mask — with no date attached to any of them, and this site will not supply one. The roadmap page transcribes what was actually announced, panel by panel, and the Soul Harvest page carries the open questions the 14 August update is expected to answer, written as gaps so you can see which ones it closes on the day.
What Phase II actually commits to is one feature. On 5 August, alongside the millionth player, Bellring confirmed a Solo Mode for Brandrgardeon both Normal and Cataclysm difficulty, “in the middle of Season 1 in September” — the most-requested thing since launch, and still a month rather than a date. They attached their own caveat to it in the same paragraph: two more modes split the matchmaking queue and raise fresh solo balance problems, which they say they will report on before adjusting further. Nothing else in September has been named that specifically.
