Mistfall Hunter Bosses and Mist Lords Guide
Each map holds one Mist Lord and two bosses. How to prepare, why red anger attacks break your block, and why a boss fight is really a PvP decision.
The short answer
One Mist Lord and two bosses per map — and red anger attacks go straight through your block.
Mistfall Hunter bosses are one Mist Lord plus two per map: Sálmar the Cursed Moonwane, Otto the Flesheater and General Harald. They guard Holy weapons, and red anger attacks ignore blocks.

The bosses with no page here, and what is missing
Naming a boss is not documenting one, and every named boss on this site now has a page except these. Each row says what is actually established about one and what would have to be published for a page to follow — which is a more useful thing to know than that we have not written one.
Underlords
Checked on 11 August 2026 against the guides, wikis and databases that cover each. “Missing” is deliberately specific rather than a general disclaimer: it is the bar a future source has to clear, and stating it that way is what emptied the entry that used to sit above these two — General Harald’s, whose blocking problem was a health figure quoted at three different values, and which resolved once the underlying table was found rather than the numbers averaged.
Boss pages
One Mist Lord and two bosses per map
These are the hardest PvE encounters in a run and they guard the most valuable loot, including Holy weapons which drop from map bosses with exclusive gameplay affixes. They also have multiple phases — expect an enrage — and they hit hard enough to remove around half your health in a single attack if you are undergeared.
Red anger attacks go through your block
The most important defensive rule in the game. Elite enemies have red anger attacks that punch straight through a shield block. Over-relying on your block against them will kill you. Knowing when to hold ground versus roll away is the actual skill check, and a small number of abilities — the Withered Knight’s parry, for example — can absorb even these.
Use the stance system, not just damage
The mechanically grounded pattern is to absorb a telegraphed heavy in your defensive stance, then swap to your damage stance to cash in the stagger window. Ranged classes solve the same problem with spacing instead — maintaining distance to cycle high-damage spells or charged shots without ever entering the punish range.
- First attempts should use cheap gear. Learn the cadence before you bring anything you would miss.
- Bring far more healing than feels necessary. Undergeared attempts usually fail on healing, not damage.
- Ranged is generally the easier angle on a first kill because you can avoid the melee punish windows entirely.
A boss fight is a PvP decision
Boss arenas are noisy and everyone on the map knows what the noise means. Before you start, check that you have an extraction option nearby and decide in advance whether you will finish the fight or leave if another squad arrives. In a trio, assign someone to watch the entry paths rather than adding a third damage dealer.
The three bosses, and what each page can honestly carry
Bellring Games has named all three launch bosses on its own YouTube channel, each with a Boss Reveal: Sálmar, the Cursed Moonwane, Otto, the Flesheater, and General Harald. All three now have pages, and they are deliberately not the same kind of page — each carries exactly what its sourcing supports, and the difference is stated on the page rather than papered over.
- A page carries a moveset when a guide describes one, not when a name exists. An invented dodge cue reads exactly like a real one and costs a run.
| Boss | Page | What its sourcing supports |
|---|---|---|
| Sálmar, the Cursed Moonwane | /bosses/salmar/ | A full moveset — both phases, move by move, from the one published solo guide |
| Otto, the Flesheater | /bosses/otto-the-flesheater/ | Seven named attacks with tells, from a media battle guide plus the reveal’s own captions |
| General Harald | /bosses/general-harald/ | No moveset — nobody has described one. Activation, per-mode health, sight radii and drop ranges, datamined and quoted as such |

What this page still does not have
A moveset for Harald, phase timings for anyone, and drop rates rather than drop ranges. The gap narrowed twice this week — Otto gained a full moveset and Harald gained a datamined profile — so what is left is smaller and more specific than it was, and none of it will be filled with invented numbers. The ledger below names the bosses that still have no page at all, and what each one is missing.
