Two recent guides describe this structure incompatibly and this page does not pick a winner. Where they disagree, both accounts are shown with their dates so you can see which one matches your own camp.

The two accounts of how this works

Two guides published three days apart describe the Collection Pedestal incompatibly. Neither has been corrected. Compare them rather than trusting one.

Mistfall Hunter Guide10 August 2026

Says it unlocks by: The "A Pearl in the Dust" side-task chain: The Collector → Build Collection Pedestal → Pristine Pedestal → Curios Manifested. No character level named.

Says it contains: 15 collectibles, 3 pedestal designs, and 3 awakening tiers per collectible — 45 placements to finish, each one consuming a copy permanently.

What both accounts agree on

The pedestal is a display. Nothing on it grants a stat, and placing an item consumes it permanently — the same materials are wanted by camp upgrades that do change how your runs go.

Placement cannot be undone. Confirm only with a copy you are willing to lose.

Our reading, which no source states: these may be two layers rather than two contradictions — a camp structure built once, carrying a separate per-collectible awakening system. Treat that as a hypothesis until something official settles it.

  • Single-source, contested
  • Both agree — and it is irreversible

Both accounts are quoted from their published pages with the dates those pages carried when read on 12 August 2026. This site is not picking between them: no developer post, patch note or in-game text has been published that would settle it, and inventing a resolution is how a contested mechanic becomes a confident error.

§01

It is a display case, not an upgrade

The Collection Pedestal shows off rare finds. No published source credits it with a stat, a multiplier, a crafting bonus, storage or any combat effect, and the accounts that disagree about everything else agree about this. If you are working through camp deciding what to build next, this is the one structure that can wait — the Goddess Statue, the Warehouse and the Scavenger Squad all change how your runs go, and this changes how your camp looks.

§02

The part that is not reversible

Placing an item consumes it. Launch-week players report the placement cannot be undone and that the same materials are wanted by higher-tier camp upgrades, so every copy you display is a copy you cannot spend on a building that does something. This is the actual decision the pedestal asks you to make, and the in-game warning is easy to click past.

  • Read the permanence warning in full before confirming — it is the only point at which the game tells you.
  • Do not spend a scarce material purely to close a task. Wait until the task is active and you have a spare copy.
  • If a material is on a camp upgrade’s requirement list, the upgrade is the better home for it.
§03

Where the guides disagree

Two guides published three days apart describe different systems under the same name. Neither is obviously wrong, and the site is not going to invent a resolution — the comparison above shows both, and the likeliest reading is that they are describing different layers: a camp structure that is built once, carrying a per-collectible awakening system on top of it. That reading is ours and no source states it, so treat it as a hypothesis and not as the answer.

Mistfall Hunter Collection Pedestal FAQ

No. Launch-week players consistently report that placement is permanent, and that the materials involved are also wanted by higher-tier camp upgrades. Treat every placement as spending the item.
