Mistfall Hunter Soul Harvest Event Guide

Soul Harvest is a ritual inside ordinary extraction matches, not a separate mode: gather Soul Cocoons, kill the Soulgnawer, and survive the third parties the noise brings.

The 14 August live date comes from the publisher’s launch press release, not from the Steam news feed, and no dated patch note for it has been published. Everything else here is from official Steam posts.

The Soul Harvest ritual, one run through

Soul Harvest is not a separate mode you queue for. It is a ritual that can be running inside an ordinary extraction match, which is why it changes how the run is played rather than where it happens.

  1. §01 Queue as normal

    Enter any map, any difficulty

The publisher’s launch press release describes Soul Harvest as season-spanning across every map and difficulty tier, so there is no separate queue to find and no gear bracket to reach first.

  2. §02 The ritual is live

Soul Harvest activates inside the match

DevNote #7 says the feature rolls out progressively after launch rather than switching on everywhere at once, so not every match carries an active ritual.

  3. §03 Collect

    Gather Soul Cocoons

The input the ritual runs on, named in the Phase I roadmap entry. How many, where they spawn and how long gathering takes have not been published.

  4. §04 The interruption

    The Soulgnawer arrives

A brand-new elite monster: slender build, serpentine lower body, human-like facial features. She actively disrupts the ritual during the match, and you have to defeat her to complete it.

You are committed and stationary while this happens. DevNote #7 tells you to keep a close eye on rival Gyldhunters and guard against third-party ambushes at exactly this moment.

  5. §05 Cash out

    Complete the ritual, then extract

The roadmap calls the payoff a brand-new multiplayer showdown to seize exclusive Soul Harvest rewards. Those rewards still have to leave the map on your body like everything else you looted.

  6. §06 Spend

    Soul Harvest Exchange Shop

Trades exclusive collectibles, Soul Coins and Moonlight Nectar — the same Moonlight Nectar Bellring mailed out for the 1,000,000-player milestone, so the currency is already in circulation.

Season-spanning — the loop repeats every run the ritual is live

  • Confirmed, no risk
  • Official mechanic
  • Where runs die

Compressed from DevNote #7 (24 July — the ritual and the Soulgnawer), the Wave 3 roadmap (5 August — the Soul Harvest entry, Soul Cocoons and the Exchange Shop) and the publisher’s launch press release (the 14 August live date and the every-map scope). Figures none of those give — cocoon counts, spawn rates, reward tables — are named as missing rather than filled in.

§01

It is a ritual inside a normal run, not a mode you queue for

This is the thing most launch-week write-ups get structurally wrong. Soul Harvest does not have its own queue, its own map or its own gear bracket. It is a ritual that can be active inside an ordinary extraction match, rolling out progressively rather than switching on everywhere at once. So it does not change where you play — it changes what a run costs you.

  • The publisher’s launch press release describes it as season-spanning across every map and difficulty tier.
  • DevNote #7 says the feature rolls out progressively after launch, so not every match will carry an active ritual.
  • Because it sits inside a normal match, every existing rule still applies: player kills are unrecoverable, and the safe pouch still protects what is in it.
§02

The Soulgnawer is the mechanic, and the reason runs die here

A brand-new elite monster spawns against an active ritual: slender build, serpentine lower body, human-like facial features. She actively disrupts the ritual, and the ritual does not complete until she is dead. That is a forced, stationary, loud fight in the middle of a PvPvE map — and DevNote #7 says so itself, telling players to keep a close eye on rival Gyldhunters and guard against third-party ambushes while the ritual is underway.

  • You cannot skip her. Defeating her is the completion condition.
  • Treat an active ritual the way you treat an extraction bell: a timed commitment that announces your position.
  • Solo players are choosing between a contested elite fight and walking away — the same contest-or-cash-out shape the Ancestor Tree event uses.
§03

What you get, and where you spend it

The Wave 3 roadmap names the loop end to end for the first time. You gather Soul Cocoons, challenge the Soulgnawer, and enter what Bellring calls a brand-new multiplayer showdown to seize exclusive Soul Harvest rewards. Those rewards are spent at the Soul Harvest Exchange Shop, which trades exclusive collectibles, Soul Coins and Moonlight Nectar.

  • Moonlight Nectar is already in circulation — Bellring mailed five of them out for the 1,000,000-player milestone.
  • Soul Coins are the same currency the launch login rewards used, so the shop plugs into an economy you already have.
  • Cocoon counts, spawn rates and the reward table have not been published. Anything you read giving you numbers for these is not quoting an official source.
§04

Where Soul Harvest sits in Season 1

Season 1 is named Soul Hunt, and DevNote #7 calls the Fate Chart its core narrative concept with Soul Harvest as the gameplay feature tying that storyline together. The season’s battle pass, the Slumbering Contract, is free — DevNote #7 says it unlocks after seven days of cumulative logins, and that staying active during a season renews the next season’s pass for free as well.

Mistfall Hunter Soul Harvest Event Guide FAQ

The publisher’s launch press release dates the themed mode to 14 August 2026. Bellring’s own Steam feed says only that it rolls out progressively after launch and lists it under Season 1 Phase I, so treat 14 August as the publisher’s figure rather than a dated patch note.
