The Abyssal Cipher deciphers at camp from level 5 and is consumed on use. The precise reward tables circulating for it are not published by Bellring Games, and Sigrid's Ripple Gem bonus does not apply to it.

What is established
The mechanics are not in dispute and they are simple. Deciphering appears on camp NPCs once you reach level 5. Any of the seven — Soekja, Dew, Pip, Dramm, Cazarro, Sigrid or Merimo — will open it. The result is currency, and the cipher is consumed when you accept, so accept only when you are ready to spend it. Unlike the Ashen Cipher there is no NPC-specific bonus to chase, which makes the decision genuinely free.

The odds table you have probably seen is not official
A reward table for deciphering circulates widely, quoted to four decimal places: 90.7761% for 450 Gyldenblod at the common end, descending to 0.002% for a Lifetime Season Pass. It is worth being precise about the problem. That table is not wrong because we tested it and got different results — it is unverified because Bellring Games has published no drop rates for this item at all, and a figure carried to four decimals with no publisher behind it is a presentation of confidence rather than a measurement.
The most careful write-up in this niche says so directly: the reward table, item pool and drop odds are not officially published, so fixed-rate claims are unverified.

Where more come from once the mail is gone
The mail copy is a one-off, but ciphers are a normal part of the loot table, so this is not an item you get one shot at forever. Securing them matters more than finding them: a cipher in your ordinary bag is lost to whoever kills you, which is why Pip's pouch exists.
