Every placement on this page was transcribed from the source named beside it on 10 August 2026, alongside that source’s own publication date. Nothing here is a win rate — no win-rate data exists for this game, and any site publishing one invented it. Skycoach blocks our reader, so its row records only the two placements Google prints and is marked unverified; the gaps in that row are missing evidence, not missing placements. Our own row is read out of the /tier-list/ tables rather than restated, so the two cannot disagree.
Where the published lists disagree
Six tier lists, five of them from sites with more authority than this one, and they cannot agree on five of the six classes. Pick a class to see every placement it has been given, who gave it, and what each list was actually ranking — which is where most of the contradiction turns out to live.
Tier letters exactly as each source published them. A dash means that source never placed that class.

Sorcerer — placed anywhere from S to A across 5 published lists

Ranks: Best starter classes — the table is headed “best starter classes”, not a general ranking
The table ranks starters, but the prose under it says the community “seems to be leaning hard into the Withered Knight” — a class its own table puts a tier below S. Read as a beginner recommendation it is coherent; read as a power ranking, which is how it gets cited, it contradicts itself.
The only published list that puts Shadowstrix alone at the bottom. It also stacks three classes in A, which makes it the least discriminating of the five.
Dated six weeks before the 30 July launch update, and nothing on the page says so. That update widened the Mercenary parry, extended the Withered Knight counter window, added an entirely new Polearm & Shield path, and removed Shadowstrix stun stacking — so three of these six placements are about a build that no longer exists.
Ranks: Specialisations, for trio queue — so a class can hold two tiers at once
Ranks per specialisation, which is why four of the six classes occupy two tiers: Seer is S as Reverent and B as Blasphemer, Mercenary A as Sword & Shield and B as Hammer, Shadowstrix A as Dual Blades and B as Dagger, Withered Knight A as Polearm & Shield and B as Greatsword. This is the same axis this site ranks on, and it is the reason class-level lists disagree so violently.
Ranks: Classes overall, with a stated solo-PvP bias
A boosting service. The page blocks our reader, so only the two S-tier placements Google prints are recorded and the rest of its table is unknown — the gaps in this row are missing evidence, not missing placements.
Ranks: Classes overall, plus separate solo and trio tables ranked per specialisation
Read out of our own Overall table, so it cannot drift from it. Our solo and trio tables rank specialisations rather than classes — the same choice Mobalytics makes for trio, and the reason both of us produce answers the class-level lists cannot.

5 of the 6 classes have been placed three or more tiers apart across these lists. Not one of them is placed identically by every source that placed it. The widest disagreement is Seer, from S down to C.
S — top tier as published
C and below
Unverified — snippet only
This site
Every lettered placement below was transcribed from the source named beside it on 10 August 2026, with that source’s own publication date. Rows marked unverified were readable only as a Google result — Skycoach blocks our reader — so their gaps are missing evidence, not missing placements. Our own row is read out of the /tier-list/ tables rather than restated here, so the two cannot disagree. Nothing on this page is a win rate: no win-rate data exists for this game, and any site presenting one invented it.
The short answer: Sorcerer is the only class they agree on
Across the six lists below, Sorcerer is the one class no source placed below A — four of the five that ranked it said S. Every other class has been given placements at least three tiers apart, and the two most extreme were published four days apart by sites of comparable size. So if you arrived here holding two tier lists that contradict each other, the honest answer is that the published record contradicts itself everywhere except one class. That is a statement about the record, not about how strong these classes are.
Sorcerer — S in four of the five lists that placed it, A in Mobalytics’ solo list. The only near-consensus on the board.
Seer — the widest spread of any class, four tiers: S in Mobalytics’ trio list as Reverent, and C in both GamesRadar+ and GameSpot.
Shadowstrix — S in Mobalytics’ solo list and in Skycoach, B in GamesRadar+ and GameRant, A in the two in between.
Blackarrow — S in both Mobalytics lists and in Skycoach, B in GamesRadar+ and GameSpot.
Mercenary — S in GamesRadar+, B in GameSpot.
Withered Knight — S in GameRant, B in GameSpot.
§02
Why they disagree — three reasons, and only one is a real argument
The contradictions look like a balance dispute and mostly are not. Two of the three causes are bookkeeping, and once you separate them the surviving disagreement is much smaller and much more useful than the raw spread suggests.
They rank different things. GamesRadar+ heads its table “best starter classes”; GameRant ranks classes overall by role; GameSpot blends PvE and PvP into one number; Mobalytics ranks solo and trio separately. Four questions, four answers, cited as though they were one.
One of them predates the game. GameSpot’s list is dated 17 June 2026, six weeks before launch, and nothing on the page says the balance has moved. The 30 July update widened the Mercenary parry, extended the Withered Knight counter window, added a new Polearm & Shield path and removed Shadowstrix stun stacking — so three of its six placements are about a build nobody can play.
A class is not one kit, and that is the real argument. Mobalytics ranks trio per specialisation, and the moment it does, four of the six classes occupy two tiers at once: Seer is S as Reverent and B as Blasphemer, Mercenary A as Sword & Shield and B as Hammer. Any class-level letter is an average of two kits that do not belong in the same tier.
§03
What the class-level lists are hiding
The third reason is the one worth acting on, because it is not a methodology quibble — it changes what you do. Ranking by class produces a letter that describes neither of the two things you can actually queue as. Mobalytics arrives at this for trios and this site arrives at it for both queues, from different sources, which is the one point of agreement between us that nobody else shares.
Mercenary spans A to C in solo on our own per-spec table depending on whether you take Sword & Shield or Hammer. A single "Mercenary: B" is the midpoint of a range, not a placement.
The same inversion runs the other way in trios: Hammer is A there and Sword & Shield falls. So even the per-spec answer is queue-dependent.
This is why our tier list publishes four tables rather than one, and why the direction of travel matters more than the letter — the letters move with every balance pass, and the launch update shipped inside the client rather than as a separate patch.
§04
How to read any tier list for this game
None of the six lists below is dishonest. Five of them are answering a narrower question than the citation implies, and the sixth is out of date. That is a repeatable failure, so it is worth a checklist rather than a verdict.
Check the date against 30 July 2026. Anything earlier describes the pre-launch build, whatever the page’s own “updated” stamp says.
Check what the table says it ranks. “Starter”, “solo”, “PvP” and “overall” are four different lists and only one of them answers your question.
Check whether it ranks classes or specialisations. A class-level list cannot tell you which of the two kits it is describing.
Ignore any win rate. Nobody has one. A published win rate for this game is a fabrication, and it is the fastest way to identify a source not worth reading.
Prefer the reasoning to the letter. Talents reset free and low-level class switching is free with a revert window, so acting on a wrong letter costs very little — which is also why a letter is a poor reason to pick.
Mistfall Hunter Tier Lists Compared FAQ
Mostly because they rank different things. Of the six lists compared on this page, one ranks starter classes, one blends PvE and PvP, one ranks solo and trio separately, and one is dated six weeks before the game launched. Once you separate those, the remaining disagreement is narrow: only whether a class-level letter can describe two specialisations at once.
