Mistfall Hunter Golden Cipher: Official Odds, Prizes and Deadlines
The complete published Golden Cipher reward table, what each of the four Gylden Rush deadlines actually cuts off, and how to get more ciphers before drops stop. Sourced from Bellring Games' own event pages, not the coverage of them.
Running now
Golden Ciphers are dropping and can be deciphered. Everything below applies as written.
Short answer
Golden Ciphers drop from chests and monsters on every map and every intensity, and you have to extract with one for it to count. Bellring publishes the full reward table: nine in ten pay 450 Gyldenblod, and the ten-and-twenty decipher milestones are worth more than the gamble. The dates are the part everyone gets wrong — drops stop on 12 August, deciphering stays open to 19 August, and only the grand-prize eligibility cutoff is the 10th.
How you get it
From locked chests, marked enemies and unidentified items on all stages at every Gyldening Intensity, and from killing a Golden Envoy streamer during the daily hunt window.
A grade describes sourcing, not truth. An unverified row is not one we think is wrong — it is one nobody has stood behind.
OfficialThe full 18-row reward table, quoted to four decimals, is published. The rows sum to 100.0001% — their rounding.

§01
Getting one, and keeping it
There is no zone to farm. Bellring puts Golden Ciphers on every stage at every Gyldening Intensity, so the highest-value run is whichever one you can reliably extract from — a cipher only exists once you leave with it. That makes securing it the whole skill: a cipher in your ordinary bag goes to whoever kills you on the way out, and Pip's pouch is the answer.
Locked chests, the most reliable placed source.
Marked enemies carrying the purple brand, and the containers they guard.
Unidentified items, each of which can resolve into a cipher.
Golden Envoy streamers, who drop exactly one when an enemy team kills them.
§02
Why the milestones beat the gamble
Read the table below with the milestones in mind and the strategy inverts. Nine ciphers in ten pay 450 Gyldenblod; the interesting rows are rounding errors. But deciphering ten guarantees the Strike It Rich emote and deciphering twenty guarantees the Golden Woodling head — no chance involved. If you are farming this event for anything you can count on, you are farming to twenty, and the physical prizes are a lottery ticket that comes free with the trip.
Every reward except Gyldenblod can be claimed only once per account.
Duplicate cosmetics are dismantled into Soul Coins automatically.
Cosmetics land by in-game mail — log in on the same account after release to collect them.
§03
If a physical prize drops
Deciphering a physical reward drops a redemption code rather than the item. Bellring is explicit that the code is the sole proof of the claim, so it should not be shared or posted, and it is redeemed on the event page with contact details for delivery. They say they will confirm shipping addresses within two months of the event ending and cover international shipping.
§04
The four dates, and the one everyone prints
Every secondary write-up in this niche says the Gylden Rush ends on 10 August 2026. That date is real but it is one of four, and it is not the one that stops you playing. The 10th is the grand-prize eligibility cutoff: reach Lv.5, unlock the feature and extract from one match before it and you are in the Alienware draw. Drops continue to the 12th, deciphering to the 19th, and the umbrella event to the 26th, with the winner drawn live on the 13th. The table above derives all of this from the clock rather than asserting it, so it will not be lying to you next week.
Deadlines
What runs out, and when
Derived from the clock rather than written down, so this section stops claiming the event is live on the day it is not.

A window being open means creators may switch Bounty Mode on, not that one is in your lobby. Bounty Mode holds eight charges and regenerates one every thirty minutes, so even an active envoy is not marked continuously.

Per-cipher rates are Bellring’s published figures. The “in 10” column is ours: 1 − (1 − p)10, which assumes each decipher is an independent draw. Nobody has published whether it is, so treat that column as arithmetic on their number rather than a second measurement.

Golden Cipher FAQ
Bellring publishes them in full. Gyldenblod ×450 is 90.7761%, Gyldenblod ×1,000 is 4.8899%, the Golden Woodling head and Strike It Rich emote are 1% each, and the physical prizes run from 0.0976% for the Gyldhunter Badge down to 0.0024% for the Razer mouse. The eighteen rows sum to 100.0001%, which is their rounding rather than a missing entry.
