When to use it
The state name was left open last pass and is now settled. A live panel captured on 5 August calls it Energy Overdraft, which is what this record publishes; a 2025 playtest panel calls the same state Exhausted, and that panel is where the useful description comes from — the state begins when Energy reaches 0, Energy then recovers rapidly for a period, and meanwhile no Energy-costing skill can be used and Movement Speed drops. Treat the description as indicative and the name as launch-confirmed. Second of the three affixes called the best solo core. Also contested by the June playtest tier list. The captured panel shows why the top two levels are the ones people actually chase: they stop being a stat line and start being an Energy Overdraft immunity, which is a survivability effect rather than a bigger pool.
Builds using this
- Withered Knight — Greatsword PvP — Soulgrot explains it at 17:08Purple upgrade for energy sustain. The creator identifies energy consumption as a continuing constraint.
- Mercenary — Parry Sword & Shield, solo — Master Deemo explains it at 21:00Skill energy. Same comparative argument — more energy means more attacks, and more attacks means fewer of theirs.
- Elemental Sorcerer — chant, zone, disengage — Master Deemo explains it at 24:30Maxed alongside Elusive. Energy is what pays for the disengage, and a Sorcerer with no energy has no cooldowns, which is the state both sources describe as simply dead.
- Shadowstrix — dual blades, wound explosion — Master Deemo explains it at 16:00Energy, which is skill uses. Named in the same breath as Elusive as one of the best in the game.
- Sorcerer — Fire and Ice, PvP — Toonchie explains it at 01:01Target 4 on the purple kit, and where the retracted Stoic points go instead.

- Master Deemo — Best Shadowstrix Solo Build and Affix Guide — Launch build, published 5 August 2026. Opens the equipped-affix panel with per-level tables held on screen — the first POST-LAUNCH capture of one, and therefore the source the affix figures on this site are checked against.
- Master Deemo — Best Mercenary Solo Build and Affix Guide — Launch build, published 2 August 2026. Source for the parry Mercenary talents and the Elusive / Vitality / Valor solo affix core.
- Firebox — Complete Beginners Guide to Mercenary — PRE-LAUNCH BUILD, uploaded 18 September 2025 — ten months before the 30 July 2026 launch. It opens the Victory Wine affix panel with tooltips held on screen, which is the only per-level affix table captured anywhere so far. Cited only where the record says out loud that the figures are pre-launch, never to overwrite a launch-era number.
