Patch 15 September 2026 update
Updated 2026-09-15

Mistfall Hunter September 3 Patch Notes: Solo Mode

The 3 September live update: Brandrgarde Solo Mode opens on Normal and Cataclysm, Shadowstrix takes the wind-up and Flurry Strike changes DevNote #8 promised, and one cooldown is tuned differently in solo and trio.

3 September 2026 · client update

A no-downtime update applied at 08:00 UTC+0 on 3 September, with a client update from your platform store required afterwards. It opens Solo Mode on both Brandrgarde difficulties — the first update since launch to add a mode rather than tune the ones that exist — and carries the fourth balance pass, which lands on Shadowstrix in the way DevNote #8 said it would.

Solo Mode opens on both Brandrgarde difficulties

The patch note lists it under New Content in one line — "Added Solo Mode for Brandrgarde’s Normal and Cataclysm difficulties" — and a companion announcement an hour later confirms the mode opens following the update. That closes a question the 5 August roadmap opened, and closes it four weeks after the announcement rather than in "the middle of Season 1 in September" that the announcement named. Syndicated coverage had rendered that clause as mid-September; it was the 3rd.

  • Both difficulties at once, as the 5 August confirmation said — not one now and one later.
  • No new gear gate was published for either solo queue. Cataclysm’s 2500 Gyldenblod floor with Elite bags only, and Normal’s 300 Gyldenblod with starting gear capped at Epic, are neither restated nor changed, so the trio figures are what this site still records.
  • Hallowgrove is untouched. Its queues were open to solo players before this update and are not mentioned in it.
  • A retuned red dot above enemy characters shipped in the same patch, aimed at reading an opponent’s gear level quickly. In a queue with no teammates that is the cheapest information you get before committing.

The fourth balance pass, and the first line tuned per queue

Blackarrow’s Steel Arrow cooldown is reduced "with a slightly larger reduction applied in Trio Mode compared to Solo Mode". That is one sentence and it is the most informative sentence in the patch: on the day two solo queues open, Bellring is already setting one number differently per mode. The cost the 5 August announcement named — that two new modes "will inevitably split the matchmaking queue and present fresh class balance challenges in solo play" — has become a balancing surface rather than a warning.

  • Shadowstrix takes the largest block: longer wind-up on both the Phantom Shift skill and the Free Movement talent, and a Flurry Strike charge that now drains Energy continuously instead of being free to hold. Bellring names the target outright — zero-cost pressure from Dual Blades players sitting in a charge state indefinitely.
  • Two small Energy refunds are added back to it, on a charged Flurry Strike under Deep Charge and at max Wound Buildup stacks. The class is being made to pay for pressure rather than stripped of it.
  • Sorcerer: Thunderstrike loses its distance falloff entirely and deals the same damage at the edge as at the centre — the largest single change to a damage profile here, and a straight lift of the class’s worst case. Input buffering on Flameblade and Windcraft is fixed, along with two talent buffs that could persist indefinitely.
  • Mercenary gains Perfect Block stagger and a larger Block Damage Boost shield in Trio, and its Super Armor dodges under Leap Step, Dynamic Charge and Relentless Advance can no longer be interrupted. Note what that is not: the invincibility frames removed on 28 August are not restored.
  • Withered Knight gets two fixes and no numbers. Seer is absent from the pass entirely.

The two Gyldening fixes are the ones that change what last week measured

Filed under Critical Fixes and easy to miss beneath the class lists: Gyldening damage could spike abnormally under specific circumstances, and could occur before the Gyldening progress had fully accumulated. Both are fixed. Any Gyldening damage figure taken before 3 September — ours or anyone else’s — may have been measuring one of the two, which is the same caveat this site records against the Creation and Unyielding affix readings taken before their own fixes.

  • Two Season Tasks were quietly uncompletable and are fixed: the Moonprayer investigation-site icon failing to appear on the minimap, and All or Nothing failing under specific circumstances.
  • Safety railings were added to every elevator platform inside the towers — a line that reads as trivial and is not, because falling off a lift ends a run with your kit on the floor.
  • Movement smoothing on rapid direction changes during displacement skills, Bloody Blade Dance named as the example, plus a fix for characters teleporting a short distance when interrupted mid-mobility-skill.
  • Looting fixes: the interface closing unexpectedly in container-dense areas and automatically after emptying a container. Console gets a keybind-reset fix; PS5 gets gem affix values no longer truncated to whole numbers.

The one-month mail is three grants behind one deadline

The companion announcement carries the launch-anniversary rewards, and the shape matters more than the list: three mails were distributed on three consecutive days, but the sentence that decided whether you kept any of them was the last one. Bellring required Lv.5 before 16:00 UTC+0 on 13 September to claim them; that eligibility window is now closed. A player who arrived on the 6th had missed nothing; a player who arrived on the 13th at Lv.4 missed all three at once.

  • 3 September, 08:00 UTC+0: Pip’s Rare Pouch Voucher (3 Days) ×1 and a Pro Combat Bag ×1.
  • 4 September, 08:00 UTC+0: Rare Repair Kit (7 Days) ×1 and a Pro Combat Bag ×1.
  • 5 September, 08:00 UTC+0: a Premium Legendary Material Selection Chest ×1 — one unbound Legendary construction material, Celestigold and the Messenger Bug Jar among the choices — and an Elite Combat Bag ×1.
  • The same post names what is still open rather than claiming it fixed: performance optimisation, class balance, matchmaking rules and illegal teaming. That is the fourth consecutive post to leave performance outstanding.

Mistfall Hunter September 3 Patch Notes: Solo Mode FAQ

It opened Solo Mode for both Brandrgarde difficulties, Normal and Cataclysm — the first update since launch to add a mode — and delivered the fourth balance pass since launch. Shadowstrix takes longer wind-ups on Phantom Shift and Free Movement plus a Flurry Strike charge that now drains Energy, Sorcerer’s Thunderstrike loses its distance falloff, Blackarrow’s Steel Arrow cooldown drops by more in Trio than in Solo, and Mercenary gains Perfect Block stagger. It also fixed two Gyldening damage faults, added safety railings to tower elevators and retuned the enemy gear-level indicator.

  • September 3 Live Update — 3 September 2026Official — a no-downtime update at 08:00 UTC+0 requiring a client update from the app store afterwards, and the post that shipped Solo Mode for Brandrgarde Normal and Cataclysm. Also the fourth class balance pass: Shadowstrix takes the reductions DevNote #8 named it for (longer wind-up on Phantom Shift and Free Movement, continuous Energy drain and a higher cost on the Flurry Strike charge, with two small Energy refunds added back), Sorcerer loses the distance falloff on Thunderstrike, Blackarrow gets a Steel Arrow cooldown cut that is larger in Trio than in Solo, and Mercenary gains Perfect Block stagger. Carries the Gyldening damage fixes, the elevator railings, the enemy gear-level red dot, and the phased Collection Pedestal submission.
  • Brandrgarde Solo Mode Now Available & Limited-Time Special Rewards — 3 September 2026Official — the post that states Solo Mode opens for both Brandrgarde difficulties following the 3 September update, which is what closes the "announced, not released" question the 5 August roadmap opened. Also the only source for the one-month launch anniversary mail: Day 1 on 3 September (Pip’s Rare Pouch Voucher 3 days ×1, Pro Combat Bag ×1), Day 2 on 4 September (Rare Repair Kit 7 days ×1, Pro Combat Bag ×1), Day 3 on 5 September (Premium Legendary Material Selection Chest ×1, Elite Combat Bag ×1), each distributed at 08:00 UTC+0 and all three claimable in-game only by an account that reached Lv.5 before 2026-09-13 16:00 UTC+0; that eligibility window is now closed. Names performance, class balance, matchmaking and illegal teaming as the still-open priorities.
  • DevNote #8 — 20 August 2026Official — Bellring says over 1.5 million Gyldhunters have arrived, explains the Soul Harvest and Mistchaser Shop design goals, names upcoming balance targets for Shadowstrix, Sword and Shield Mercenary, Polearm & Shield Withered Knight, ranged classes, season tasks and server hiccups, publishes the seasonal-reset framework, and shows Blackarrow Javelin concept art. Where it says “future” or “upcoming”, this site treats it as direction rather than a shipped patch.
  • Roadmap and Launch Rewards: Wave 3 — 5 August 2026Official — the 1,000,000-player milestone rewards, the third launch reward mail, Brandrgarde Solo Mode for September, the 6 August client update preview, the full Season 1 roadmap image this site transcribes, and the statement that stuttering and latency reports are under investigation.
  • August 28 Server Maintenance Update — published 27 August 2026Official — and the first update since launch delivered behind a maintenance window rather than live: roughly two hours from 06:30 UTC+0 on 28 August, with matchmaking closed from 06:00 and a client update from the app store required afterwards. Carries the Season and Contract Task easing pass Bellring wrote in response to difficulty feedback (lower kill counts, “execute” requirements changed to “defeat”, equipment-value conditions changed to rarity, container-search Contract tasks removed, Daily Task reward raised from 30 Contract Sigils to 40), a new Oceania server, enemy nameplates removed from matches to curb cross-teaming, Soul of Return stack limit cut to 1, two rubberbanding reductions, and the third class balance pass — the one that removes invincibility frames from Mercenary dodges under Leap Step, Dynamic Charge and Relentless Advance.
