Blood and Fire: a Season 2 preview event that runs out with Season 1
The [Blood and Fire] event went live with the update and lasts until the end of Season 1. Bellring calls it the Season 2 Preview Event. The story frame is a bard’s ballad about a past “woven with blood and fire” and lost souls to be laid to rest. Event tasks pay Moonlight Nectar and an exclusive earring cosmetic.
- The post gives no task list, no task count and no Nectar quantity. What one completion is worth is not published, so this page does not estimate it.
- Moonlight Nectar cannot be looted in a run. It comes from mail, one-time quests and shops, so an event that pays it is one of the few free sources. It refines into Star Silver Ore, the currency behind the Galaxy skin chase.
- The earring is the second earring line in a week. The 15 October update fixed earrings not showing in team mode on the Camp, Inventory and Team screens.
- This is now the fifth running event that ends “at the end of Season 1”, after Golden Woodling, [Weekend Surprise], [7-Day Surprise] and [Free Drinks]. None of them has a date, because Season 1 still has none.
- Also fixed: clicking the reward icon after finishing an event task could fail to claim the reward. If an earlier event reward never arrived after that click, this is the line that names it. The post does not say whether missed claims are reissued.
Season Reset and Fateweaver Shop: the reset breakdown is in the client now
Two new interfaces. [Season Reset] shows “the full breakdown of the Season 1 reset rules”, and [Fateweaver Shop] lists the shop rewards on offer. The post describes both screens but does not reproduce what is on them.
- DevNote #8 said character levels, warehouse supplies and select camp buildings reset, and left the exchange ratios and the full list for a detailed breakdown “near the tail end of Season 1”. The [Season Reset] screen is that breakdown, published in the client rather than in a post. This site has not read the screen yet, so the wipe page still carries only what DevNote #8 stated.
- A Season Reset tab already sat at the end of the Season menu (opened with L) in DevNote #7’s screenshot. The post calls the interface added in this update, and the new part it describes is the full rule breakdown.
- Fateweaver is also the name community wikis give the fourth Path of Glory tier. The post does not connect the shop to that tier, its currency or its prices, and neither does this page.
- Neither interface gives a date for the end of Season 1. A reset breakdown arriving is the signal DevNote #8 told players to watch for, but it is still not a date.
Mercenary: four fixes, three of them inside Perfect Block
There are no Mercenary number changes, only fixes. Three of the four lines are about what happens around a Perfect Block, so a sword-and-shield parry player is the reader this section is for.
- Getting hit by Blackarrow’s [Paralysis Arrow] in the middle of a Perfect Block had a small chance of leaving the Mercenary stuck in an infinite block. It is the second Paralysis Arrow interaction fixed in a month. On 23 September it was stopping Sorcerer casts before a full channel.
- A Perfect Block after [Shockwave Strike] registered the hit correctly but did not play the animation. That was a visual bug, not a damage bug: the block was always working.
- [Stonebreaker Slash]: Perfect Blocking an enemy’s Super Armor skill with it wrongly stacked Breakaway charges on the enemy. That let them trigger Breakaway after a single hit, when Breakaway normally needs two impact hits in quick succession. This is the parry build’s second parry window, and the Stonebreaker Counter talent it takes adds Super Armor and damage after that same Perfect Block. Until this fix, an enemy could Breakaway out after one hit, which could cut that counter short. Neither sword-and-shield build has been retested on the fix.
- The [Skullcrushing Echo] talent could fail to take effect “under specific circumstances”. The post does not say which. It is the talent the 28 August pass gave an internal cooldown.
Reverent Seer: the Rune Pillar you picked stays picked
One Seer line. On Reverent Seer, using a tactical item and switching back to the Catalyst could change the selected Rune Pillar to a different one. Both Reverent Seer builds on this site play out of Rune Pillars (Burst, Punishment and Intimidation Rune among them), so a rune that changed by itself after a tactical item was a misplay the player did not make.
- Also on Reverent Seer, but filed as a visual fix: the head model rendered wrongly in the Multiplayer Camp while wearing the Enlightenment Crown.
- No Seer number changed. The last Seer lines with gameplay weight were the 23 September fixes to dodge distance, Burst Rune, Psionic Orb and the Paralysis Sigil cancel.
Returner Woodling latency, and the other fixes
The one optimisation in the post is server-side handling at the moment Returner Woodlings spawn, to improve network latency at that moment. That is the extraction moment every surviving squad converges on, so it is the worst place for lag. Bellring does not describe it as a fix for the wider server lag it has been investigating, and this page does not treat it as one.
- Hallowgrove: players no longer avoid Gyldenmist damage while disconnected. Before this, a dropped connection kept a character safe from the mist.
- Gems socketed in gear chosen for a Smuggler Woodling to take out now show in the gear details.
- Enemy footsteps no longer go silent while you are interacting with Richie the Merchant in a match.
- Weapon models now render when picking up a high-quality weapon triggers the automatic inspection.
- Public Training Grounds hosts can swap seats again, and teammate markers no longer show by mistake on the Leaderboard tab in team mode.
- Visual fixes: Gyldjar and Bell skins on the Team screen in team mode, and character models showing on the Shop page.
