Mistfall Hunter Cipher Decoder and Word List

Type both clue words from your cipher and this names the camp NPC who takes it. Plus all 47 words A to Z, graded by how many sources print each one.

Both of them, in any order. Commas, slashes and “and” all work.

Where are the words?

Open the cipher in camp or in your bag. It prints two clue words. 47 words are mapped across the seven camp NPCs below, and handing a cipher to the wrong one still pays the base result — the only thing at stake is the bonus.

Using it

How to read the clue words

The clue words are the whole puzzle — there is no decoder screen in the game. Each of the seven camp NPCs owns a themed vocabulary tied to their job, and the word on your copy is what names them.

  1. 1Open the cipher in camp or in your bag. It prints two clue words.
  2. 2Type both above. Order does not matter, and commas, slashes or “and” all work.
  3. 3If the answer names one NPC, hand it to them.
  4. 4If it names two, one of the words was read wrong — re-check the item before you commit it.

Flat and alphabetical, so a word can be found without knowing who takes it. Evidence is the count of independent sources printing that word — a single source is newer rather than weaker, but it is one source.

Grouped by NPC instead, with each vocabulary’s logic and the frame it was read off, on the seven NPC pages. The named ciphers reported to pay a bonus with each of them are there too — 7 of the seven carry at least one.

Not settled

What these lists do not tell you

The publisher confirms that a correct NPC exists and pays a bonus, and publishes nothing else. Everything above is read off community and creator sources, and these are the questions none of them answers.

  • Whether the bonus pays once per cipher word or on every delivery. No source says, and the publisher only calls it a bonus for “the first delivery”.
  • Whether these lists are complete. Two of the three sources record readers reporting words missing from them.
  • Whether the named-cipher pairings hold. They come from one creator compiling Reddit and YouTube reports, and that creator says so.
  • What the bonus item actually is. The press sources say only that it has a high chance of being Epic rarity.
  • Whether Dew and Serenia are one NPC under two published names or a localisation split. The summary board prints both together, which is evidence but not a statement.

Sources

Where every word above comes from

  • Game Rant — List of Correct NPCs to Decipher Golden Cipherspress

The seven NPC vocabularies and their camp roles. Lists Covenant and Interest under Cazarro, which the other source does not. Community-derived; the article itself notes a reader flagging missing words.

  • allthings.how — Every Golden Cipher Word and the NPC Who Deciphers Itpress

The same seven vocabularies, published independently a day later, and that the bonus item has a high chance of being Epic rarity. Traces the list to a Reddit thread rather than to the developers.

    2026-08-07

  • Bellring Games — Golden Cipher event pageofficial

Official — that a correct NPC exists for each cipher and that delivering it there yields a bonus. The publisher does not publish the word list itself, which is why everything below is corroborated rather than official.

    2026-08-07

  • Desorden — ¿A qué NPC entregar cada CIPHER? Bonus Confirmadoscommunity

Each NPC’s card read off screen, in Spanish and English side by side, plus a summary board carrying all seven at once. It is the only source that pairs *named ciphers* to NPCs, that prints Prayer, Weaver, Guidance, Return and Victory Wine, and that titles the maiden’s card “Dew / Serenia” — settling a name this site had only one half of. The creator states plainly that not everything in it is confirmed and asks viewers to report corrections, so it is graded reported, never official.

Cipher decoder questions

Read the two clue words printed on the cipher and hand it to the camp NPC whose vocabulary contains them. The decoder above does that lookup: type both words in any order and it names the NPC. There is no in-game decoder screen — the clue words are the whole puzzle.
